The VRO file format is a DVD Recorder file. This file formatĀ isĀ used for streaming (real-time) recording of DVD discs. Most DVD’s also contain IFO files files that contains information about timing for the VRO files. This differs from VOB files where the timing data is already included.

Tip: if you plan to use certain VRO files in a video editing program you might be able to do this without converting by changing the file extension to “.mpeg”. Don’t forget to change it back if this doesn’t work.
